Decorative Metal

Straight Perforated Metal

Straight Perforated Metal

Metal sheets with regular, straight-pattern perforations.

Perforated metals are metal sheets with holes in various patterns and can be made from various materials (steel, aluminium, stainless steel, etc.). These holes can be in different shapes (round, square, rectangular, etc.) and sizes. When selecting perforated metal, factors such as hole diameter, spacing distance, material type and thickness must be considered. Choosing the right perforated metal suitable for the requirements of the application ensures successful results in terms of both functionality and aesthetics.

Key features

  • Aligned straight pattern
  • Five base materials
  • Open area ~5–48%
  • Facade, interior & filtration

Hole sizes and spacing

Hole diameter: The hole diameters in perforated metal sheets generally vary between 0.5 mm and 50 mm. This varies depending on the intended use and aesthetic preferences.

Spacing: The distance between holes (centre to centre) can generally be between 1 and 3 times the hole diameter. For example, for a hole 5 mm in diameter, the spacing between holes can be between 5 mm and 15 mm.

Hole arrangement

Straight rows: The holes are arranged regularly. This type of arrangement is generally used in structural applications.

Diagonal: The holes are placed diagonally. This arrangement can be more aesthetically attractive and may be preferred in some fluid-dynamics applications.

Custom patterns: Custom patterns can be created to achieve a particular aesthetic appearance.

Application areas

Architecture and construction: Facade cladding, interior decoration, ceiling panels.

Industrial: Filtering, separation, ventilation systems.

Furniture and decoration: Tabletops, shelving systems, lighting elements.

Agriculture and food industry: Grain sieving, food processing machinery.

Advantages

Light weight: Thanks to the holes, the material becomes lighter, making transport and installation easier.

Ventilation: Thanks to its perforated structure, it allows air, light and sound to pass through.

Aesthetics: It offers visual appeal through various patterns and materials.

Strength: In some applications, the hole arrangement can increase the strength of the material.
